As a Catholic educator for over 35 years I believe it essential for students to understand God’s role in their lives. Students must recognize the value of all human life and to treat people with respect and dignity. Our community is an extension of our students, their parents, and the members of the faculty.
All students are unique individuals created in God’s image and likeness. Our task is to help them grow and mature spiritually, morally, emotionally, mentally, physically and socially. My responsibility is to provide an environment enabling each student to reach his/her fullest potential.
I believe it is extremely important for students to be prepared to succeed in the 21stcentury and beyond. They should be equipped with the tools to learn to work in teams, to experience and explore relevant, real world problems, questions, issues, and challenges. I feel it is essential for students to create presentations and share the knowledge they have learned with others and articulate the ideas with confidence.
I believe every student needs to be able to think outside of the box, take risks yet know they are in a safe academic environment. Students should have a clear understanding of what they value, discern their individual interests and talents, and have the discipline and commitment to pursue them.
